#2 Buffering

The joys of internet. Buffering. This can be caused by a number of things. Let’s see what can be the cause.

NOTICE: Please be aware, our servers are self managed, we do not have the budget of Netflix, If you are signing into the final game of the world series, or the grey cup etc. and having a hard time. This is not you. And we are already aware. It is being worked on.

If your regular tv watching is buffering. Please see below..

#1 Please power cycle the firestick by unplugging it from power for 30 seconds and then power it back on by plugging it back in.

#2 You may want to try a Powercycle of your internet modem/router by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Sometimes they are simply having a bad day and need a kick in the pants.

#3 If you have the option on your Wifi network. Make sure your firestick is on the 5ghz network and not 2.4ghz.

  • To check this, go to firestick settings (little gear icon on the far right)
  • Click on network.
  • And see what you have for options.
  • While here you can run a speed test. Do this and take a picture so you can show your admin if you need to email them.

#4 clear the apps Cache data.

  • Go To Settings (little gear icon on the far right)
  • Select “Applications”
  • Select “Manage Installed Applications”
  • Scroll down to OTT Pro or Splash Player and select it.
  • Then select clear cache
  • DO NOT CLEAR APP DATA ( this will wipe you favorites and Userid/Password from the App ) only do this if nothing else is fixing your issue.
